Fonda Barris date from 1949, when the couple bought the Barris-Miràngels it was a small house floor. They opened a bar and vermouth served a dish of spoon. Over the years it diversified the offer and put a food store to serve the people. One of the biggest complaints were the sausages prepared in Fonda. In the early seventies with the first enlargement of the establishment, enabled the first room.
The people still remembered fondly the influx of tourists. The evolution of Fonda has not forgotten the origins of a local cuisine, closely linked to the product of the area and dishes that recall the old inns of the town. Dishes like stuffed potatoes, duck with pears, pork feet with turnips ... are some of the oldest recipes.
